2024年8月28日，南非东开普省省长奥斯卡·玛布雅尼、萨拉巴特曼市市长德·沃斯率团访问杭州师范大学，开展座谈交流。杭师大副校长胡华，浙江省外办二级巡视员施华忠，余杭区区委副书记、区长王牮，浙江省教育国际交流协会副秘书长陈璐，杭州市外办副主任徐军民，杭州市教育局交流合作处处长张启鹏，杭师大国际处处长汪学磊、国际教育学院院长欧荣等职能部门和学院负责人出席座谈会。座谈会上，莎拉巴特曼市市政经理邬娜提•丹尼尔斯、余杭区副区长罗建强、副校长胡华代表三方签订了合作协议。在交流环节，欧荣院长介绍了杭师大国际教育发展的历史、优势和专业特色以及南非学生在我校的学习情况，并期待有更多的南非学生到我校学习。
座谈会结束后，玛布雅尼省长、德·沃斯市长一行还参观了国际教育学院。欧荣院长、徐凌芸书记和马珺副书记陪同接待。欧荣院长对省长一行的到访表示热烈欢迎，并引领南非代表团参观了学院院史墙、中国文化展示中心、多元文化展示中心、国际学生公寓等多个场地，同时介绍了学院的办学历史、办学理念、人才培养、学生活动与优秀校友等基本情况。南非代表团对我院的办学条件和成果给予了高度肯定，并就南非学生来华学习相关问题进行了进一步的交流，双方交谈融洽。现就读我校的三位南非学生也参与了交流。
On 28 August 2024, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, Governor of Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, and Deon Wesly Sam De Vos, Mayor of Sarah Baartman District Municipacity, led a delegation to visit Hangzhou Normal University. Hu Hua, Vice President of Hangzhou Normal University, Shi Huazhong, Second Grade Inspector of Zhejiang Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Jian, Deputy Secretary of Yuhang District Party Committee and Mayor of Yuhang District, Chen Lu, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Education Association for International Exchange, Xu Junmin, Deputy Director of Hangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Zhang Qipeng, Director of Exchange and Cooperation Division of Hangzhou Education Bureau, Wang Xuelei, Director of Hangzhou Normal University's International Affairs Office, Ou Rong, Dean of School of International Education, and other leaders of the functionaries and schools were present at the meeting. Unati Daniels, Municipal Manager of Sarah Baartman District Municipacity, Luo Jianqiang, Vice Mayor of Yuhang District, and Hu Hua, Vice President of Hangzhou Normal University, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the three parties. During the exchange session, Dean Ou Rong introduced the history, achievements and strength of the international education at Hangzhou Normal University as well as the current situation of South African students at HZNU, and expected more South African students to come.
After the meeting, Governor Mabuyane, Mayor de Vos and others visited the School of International Education. Dean Ou Rong, Secretary Xu Lingyun and Deputy Secretary Ma Jun accompanied them. Dean Ou Rong expressed the warm welcome to the Governor and his delegation and showed them around to visit the history wall of the school, the Chinese Culture Exhibition Centre, the Multicultural Exhibition Centre, the International Student Residence and other venues, introduced the school's history, educational philosophy, the programs, the students activities and outstanding alumni, etc.. The South African delegation highly affirmed the facilities and achievements of the school and had further exchanges on issues related to South African students studying in China. Three South African students currently studying in our university also participated in the communication.
