秋风送爽，又是一年扬帆起航的开学季，杭州师范大学迎来了新一届国际新生。2024年9月13日下午，杭州师范大学国际教育学院在恕园3号楼报告厅举办了2024级国际学生新生入学仪式。
The golden autumn breeze brings a refreshing feeling and it marks the beginning of the new academic year when we set sail. Hangzhou Normal University welcomes all the international freshmen. On the afternoon of September 13, School of International Education of Hangzhou Normal University held an opening ceremony for 2024 international students at Shuyuan Building 3.
来自世界50多个国家的300余名国际学生相聚一堂。国际教育学院院长、国际学生管理办公室主任欧荣,国际教育学院党总支书记徐凌芸,副院长胡潭高、阿里巴巴商学院理事张佐、护理学院副院长楼妍 、信息学院党委副书记余洁，各学院辅导员、联络员、国教院各科室负责人、教师代表等出席入学仪式。此次仪式由国教院党总支副书记、国际学生管理办公室副主任马珺主持。
More than 300 students from 50 countries around the world gathered together. Ou Rong, dean of School of International Education and director of International Student Office, Xu Lingyun, CPC Secretary of School of International Education, Hu Tangao, deputy dean of School of International Education, Zhang Zuo, council member of Alibaba Business School, Lou Yan, deputy dean of School of Nursing, Yu Jie, deputy CPC secretary of School of Information Science and Technology. Class mentors, students counselors, heads of various offices of School of International Education, teachers representatives attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided by Ma Jun, deputy CPC secretary of School of International Education and deputy director of International Student Office.

Russian students performed a dance and singing named 'The Weekend' at the beginning of the ceremony, pushing the atmosphere of the scene to a climax.
欢迎仪式开始，欧荣院长进行了发言致辞，欢迎国际学生加入了杭州师范大学这个大家庭。她在发言中提出教育的过程和目的不仅仅是知识的传授，更是文化的交流、思想的碰撞和心灵的融合。杭州师范大学努力构建一个开放、包容的国际化学习环境，让每一位学生即使远离祖国都能找到归属感，与此同时又能保持并发展自己的专业特长和综合技能。欧荣院长表示2024级国际学生的加入，将为校园注入新的活力和能量，国际学生也将在此放飞新的梦想，收获新的希望。国际学生们听完后受到了极大的鼓舞。
Dean Ou Rong delivered a welcome speech and extended hospitality to international students to join the big family of Hangzhou Normal University. In her speech, she proposed that the process and purpose of education are not only about obtaining knowledge, but also about experiencing cultural exchange and integration of ideas. Hangzhou Normal University strives to build an open and inclusive environment, allowing every student to find a sense of belonging even if they are far away from their homeland, while maintaining and developing their professional strengths and comprehensive skills. Dean Ou Rong stated that the participation of international students of 2024 will inject new vitality and energy into the campus, and international students will also realize new dreams and new hopes here. All the freshmen were greatly encouraged by her words.

各位领导、老师、亲爱的同学们：
大家下午好！我是杭州师范大学国际教育学院学院院长欧荣。
今天，来自52个不同国家的23名国际研究生、195名本科生和205名语言进修生从世界各地走进杭师大的校园，很高兴可以在这里和你们相遇，感谢各位同学选择了杭州师范大学作为“留学中国”的学校，在此，我谨代表杭师大全体师生员工，对你们的到来表示热烈的欢迎！
中国的国家主席习近平寄语来华留学生：“中国欢迎各国优秀青年来华学习深造，也希望大家多了解中国、多向世界讲讲你们所看到的中国，多同中国青年交流，同世界各国青年一道，携手为促进民心相通、推动构建人类命运共同体贡献力量”。

而后，来自阿里巴巴商学院的教师代表王仕超老师进行了发言，以幽默风趣的方式教会了国际学生三个单词“朋友”“体验”“梦想”。他希望自己不仅是国际学生的老师，可以和学生们成为朋友、还可以在生活学习中告诉大家怎么样体验中国文化，并且希望每一位同学都能将自己的梦想记在心头。
Associate Professor and Doctor Wang Shichao from Alibaba Business School as a teacher representative gave an inspiring speech to the freshmen by sharing three words : “friend", "experience", and "dream" in a humorous and witty way. He hopes that he cannot only be a teacher of international students, but also make friends with them, and tell them how to experience Chinese culture in daily life. He also hopes that every student can implant their dreams in mind.
来自也门的在校生代表阿瓦达（MOHAMMED ABDULAZIZ AWADH GHARAMAH）同学，将他在杭师大生活、学习的亲身经历分享给了新同学们，希望大家和他一起向目标小步前进，并且通过坚持取得理想的结果。
The representative of senior students MOHAMMED ABDULAZIZ AWADH GHARAMAH from Yemen shared his personal experience of living and studying at Hangzhou Normal University with new students. He hoped that all the students will take small steps towards their goals and achieve them through perseverance.
发言的新生代表分别是来自外国语学院的硕士研究生NAZAROVA NOZIMAKHON IKROMOVNA以及来自阿里巴巴商学院的越南籍冯艳琼（PHUNG DIEM QUYNH）。他们表示今后将充分利用在杭师大学习的机会，学好专业知识、学好汉语，沟通和传播两国文化，努力成为一名友好交流大使。并对自己未来四年在学校的学习生活进行了设想，希望在杭州师范大学可以提高自己的汉语和专业水平，并在未来可以留在中国发展。The freshmen representatives were a Uzbekistan girl NAZAROVA NOZIMAKHON IKROMOVNA, a master degree student from School of International Studies and PHUNG DIEM QUYNH, a Vietnamese student from Alibaba Business School and a Silkroad Scholarship winner. They expressed that they would make full use of the opportunity to study hard at Hangzhou Normal University so as to learn professional knowledge and Chinese well, to communicate and spread the cultures of two countries, and strive to become ambassadors for comprehensive exchanges.
之后，领导为国际学生佩戴了校徽并赠送了新生礼包，祝福国际学生在杭州师范大学的学习生活一切顺利！从此启程，2024级国际新生们正式成为一名HZNUer。
Then, all the leaders wore the school badges for international student representatives and presented them with a freshmen gift, wishing them all the best in their study and life at Hangzhou Normal University! From now on, the 2024 international freshmen have officially become an HZNUer.

Police officer Sir. Ruan from Cangqian Police Station gave a legal initiative on safety and security such as visa and drug issues.
仓前派出所阮警官和周警官法制宣传员为国际学生“校园安全大使”颁发了聘书，希望国际学生们在杭州师范大学度过平安且收获满满的学习时光。
Police officers Sir Ruan and his colleague Zhou have issued appointment certificates to international students as "Campus Safety and Security Ambassadors", hoping that international students will have a safe and fruitful time at Hangzhou Normal University.
此次开学仪式圆满结束，国际学生们对学校、对老师、对同学都有了更深入的了解，他们也将在杭州师范大学开启美好的学习之旅。
The opening ceremony has successfully ended and international students have gained a deeper understanding of the university, teachers, and fellow students. They will also embark on a promising and wonderful learning journey at Hangzhou Normal University.
